Diy Small Simple Refugium Light

This is the light that I put over the refugium on my 3.5 gallon tank I built this light in about 2 hours. with the bulb included it cost under $10.00.

I used a 3 wide electrical box lowes $1.49

drilled a hole for the light socket

a 6500K bulb that I got at lowes $6.00

I had a reflector from an old light fixture

I cut it to size

I drilled holes so I could screw it on to the housing

the finished product. I used wire nuts to splice the wires to an old extension cord I had.
I also painted the outside of the housing black I will take a picture of that and post it.
